Join Matt and Rachel Palma, owners of Restoration Acres Farm and full time farmers of 10+ years, for an interactive workshop on raising sheep as we take a hike to their flock of 250+ sheep! Learn all of the basics of what it takes to raise 100% grass fed sheep for meat, whether on a small homestead-scale of a few animals, or a larger production-scale of hundreds of animals.

- Sheep handling and corralling
- Working with butchers vs. home processing

Teacher Bio:
Matt and Rachel Palma of Restoration Acres Farm have been practicing regenerative livestock farming for over 11 years. They reside and farm here in Sedalia, VA with their 3 children and have been blessed to live on Mountain Run Farm for the last 5 years. They raise pastured pigs, chickens, turkeys, and grass-only sheep. Through their farm business, they strive to steward creation in a manner that honors the land, the creatures, the farmers, the consumers, and the Creator.
