Getting Here (Approximate Routes – Verify with GPS before travel):

  • From Lynchburg (~35-45 min): Typically involves taking US -501 North towards Big Island. Follow signs for VA-122 South (Big Island Hwy), then turn onto Charlemont Rd (State Rte 610). Follow event signage.

  • From Roanoke (~50-60 min): Generally involves taking US-460 East towards Bedford/Lynchburg. Take the exit for VA-122 North (towards Big Island). Follow VA-122 N, then turn onto Charlemont Rd (State Rte 610 ). Follow event signage.

  • From Charlottesville (~1.5 – 2 hrs): Often involves taking US-29 South towards Lynchburg. Connect to US-60 West towards Amherst/Buena Vista. Turn onto US-501 South, then follow signs for VA-122 South, and finally turn onto Charlemont Rd (State Rte 610). Follow event signage.

  • ** From Richmond (~2 – 2.5 hrs):** Usually involves taking US-60 West towards Amherst. Connect to US-501 South, follow signs for VA-122 South, then turn onto Charlemont Rd (State Rte 610). Follow event signage.

Important Notes:

  • You will be traveling on scenic but potentially winding rural roads like VA -122 and Charlemont Rd as you get close. Drive attentively!

  • Cell service can be very spotty in the immediate area. We strongly recommend downloading driving directions offline (via Google Maps offline feature, etc.) before you leave home.

  • Look for yellow “Mountain Run Jam” event signage as you approach Charlemont Road to guide you to the correct entrance.

Your Weekend Ticket Includes:

Your Weekend Pass is your key to the core Mountain Run Jam experience! It includes:

  • Full access to the festival grounds Friday – Sunday during open hours.

  • Entry to ALL scheduled workshops, healing activities, talks, and demonstrations (attendance is first-come, first-served based on space).

  • Access to ALL live music performances.

  • General Admission Tent Camping access within the main Camp Sedalia area (remember you MUST select the free ‘$0 GA Camping Pass’ during checkout!).

  • Access to potable water stations and restroom facilities.

  • Children 16 & younger are FREE (remember you MUST select the free ‘Children Pass’ during checkout!)

Paid upgrades (Meadow/Car/Premium/RV camping) and purchases from food/craft vendors are separate.

Food & Drink

  • Food Vendors: We carefully curate a selection of delicious food vendors focused on using locally and regionally sourced ingredients, reflecting our commitment to supporting local food systems. Expect a variety of tasty options!

  • Bring Your Own Food/Cook Stoves: Yes! You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and beverages (NO GLASS containers). Small propane camp stoves are permitted for cooking at your campsite. Please cook responsibly and safely.

  • Water: Stay hydrated! Bring your reusable water bottles and refill often at our free potable water stations located throughout the venue.

  • IMPORTANT: NO ALCOHOL: Mountain Run Jam is an alcohol-free event. Please respect this policy and do not bring any outside alcohol. This helps maintain our safe, family-friendly atmosphere.

What to Bring

Pack smart for a comfortable weekend on the farm!

  • Your Ticket (Printed or digital – have it ready!)

  • Valid Photo ID (For check-in)

  • Reusable Water Bottle(s)

  • Weather-Appropriate Clothing (Layers are key for October! Include rain gear & warm layers for evenings)

  • Comfortable, Sturdy Shoes (You’ll be walking on uneven farm terrain!)

  • Camping Gear (Tent, sleeping bag, pad – if camping)

  • Flashlight or Headlamp (Essential after dark!)

  • Sunscreen & Hat

  • Bug Spray

  • Camp Chair or Blanket (For workshops/music)

  • Yoga Mat (If participating in yoga/movement)

  • Small Backpack/Daypack

  • Cash (Many vendors will be cash-only)

  • Basic First-Aid Kit

What NOT to Bring

Please leave these items at home for the safety and enjoyment of all:

  • NO Pets (Certified service animals only; contact us prior)

  • NO Glass Containers of any kind

  • NO Alcohol

  • NO Fireworks or Firearms/Weapons

  • NO Illicit Substances

  • NO Unauthorized Vending Items

  • NO Drones (Without prior written permission)

  • NO Personal Amplified Sound Systems / Large Stereos for campsites

All attendees and vehicles are subject to search upon entry.

 

Accessibility

Mountain Run Jam takes place on a working farm with primarily natural, uneven terrain (grass, pasture, gravel paths). While we strive to be welcoming, accessibility can be challenging in some areas.

    • Terrain: Expect fields, slopes, and potentially muddy spots depending on weather. Mobility assistance devices may have difficulty in certain locations.

    • Parking: Designated accessible parking spaces are available near the main entrance. Please display your state-issued permit.

    • ** Camping:** If you have specific accessible camping needs, please contact us in advance at info@mountainrunjam.com to discuss potential accommodations. Premium Car Camping offers the closest vehicle access to the main venue.

    • Restrooms: Accessible portable restroom units will be available.

    • Contact: Please reach out to info@mountainrunjam.com well in advance of the festival with any specific accessibility questions or requests so we can best assist you.

Tend Wisely (Leave no Trace)

Respecting the land is core to Mountain Run Jam . Please help us leave the farm beautiful:

  • Pack It In, Pack It Out: Plan to take all your trash and recycling home with you. Limited receptacles are available, but minimizing waste is key.

  • Compost: Look for the compost buckets to discard biodegradable paper products and food scraps. 
  • Use Reusables: Bring your own water bottles, camp mugs, plates, and utensils!

  • Stay on Paths: Respect designated walkways and camping/parking areas.

  • Protect Waterways: Keep soaps and waste away from Reed Creek.

Festival Guidelines

By entering the festival premises, you agree to these terms.

Key Rules & Policies:

  • ALL SALES FINAL: Tickets are non-refundable. The festival takes place rain or shine.
  • ** ARRIVAL/ENTRY & CHECK-IN HOURS:** Gates open at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 3rd. Check-in closes nightly at 9:00 PM and reopens daily at 8: 00 AM. NO EARLY ENTRY before 11:00 AM Friday is permitted. Please plan arrivals during open hours.
  • WRISTBANDS: Festival wristbands must be worn at all times. Do not remove or tamper with your wristband.
  • NO DOGS / PETS: Absolutely NO DOGS or other pets are allowed anywhere on the festival grounds or in camping areas. Certified service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are permitted according to ADA guidelines. Please contact us in advance if you have a service animal ([Your Contact Email / Link]).
  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS: Please bring beverages in cans, plastic, or reusable containers only. NO GLASS bottles or containers of any kind are allowed. This is for safety.
  • NO ALCOHOL: Mountain Run Jam is an alcohol-free event. Please do not bring any outside alcohol onto the festival premises. This policy will be strictly enforced. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a clear and family-friendly atmosphere.
  • CAMPING RULES: Please see the [Link to Camping & Lodging Page] for detailed camping guidelines (quiet hours, fires, vehicles, Leave No Trace, etc.). Adherence to camping rules is mandatory.
  • NO UNAUTHORIZED VENDING: Only officially approved vendors are permitted to sell goods or services.
  • ** NO FIREWORKS OR WEAPONS:** Fireworks, firearms, and weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited.
