The Significance of Timing & the Seasonality of Plant Medicine
Sydney BatsonEach season, the plants express themselves differently, and their expression reflects specific energetic functions. Autumn and winter bring us in and down—all the way to the earth where we reach for the tethered roots which help us ground and nourish our systems. Spring and summer bring us up and out—towards the buds and leaves which help us tend to what’s bubbling at the surface.
In this workshop, we’ll explore the reasons behind harvesting and preparing herbs at different times of the year, and how these considerations can strengthen the potency and precision of plant medicine.
If you love nettle tea, but have never considered the medicine of its seeds and roots, or if you adore elderberry syrup but are less familiar with elder flowers—join us in exploring and honoring the cyclical rhythms of herbalism.
