BIO: 

Kristen is a wellness educator, herbalist, and body therapist. She is the founder of the Mandala Wellness Academy and helps people feel good using movement, body work, and education. She loves gardening, reading, and turning simple activities into acts of leisure. A Florida native, she now lives and works in Lynchburg, VA with her dog Appa. 

Herbal Immunity + First Aid

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of an herbal first aid kit covering common herbs for colds, flus, bumps, and bruises. We will cover 6-7 different herbs and a few first aid recipes that every family should have in their medicine cabinet including comfrey, calendula, echinacea, elder, and more. 

Introduction to Medicine Making

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of simple herbal medicine making. We will cover the nuances and materials of making tinctures, teas, and oils at home. We will also explore a few common herbs that get started with and remedies that all families should have in their home apothecary for common, everyday ailments.
