The Sugar Hollows
The Sugar Hollows
The Sugar Hollows are 'some kind of rock band' from Richmond, Virginia. What started as an acoustic duo during the nationwide lockdown in 2020, when lead singer Michael Dunn and lead guitarist Gabriel Spadaccini heard each other playing music through their apartment walls, soon grew into a full 5-piece band after recruiting friend Sean O'Rielly on bass, neighbor Noah Yares on drums, and previous bandmate Hayden Chance on lap steel and keyboard. With a wide range of influences and eclectic interests including classic folk and rock, americana, modern indie and alternative rock, and even jam and reggae bands, the group has curated a sound of their own that has been described as "southern indie rock" and "coastal country." The quintet released their debut album in 2023, which received very positive regional and national press, followed by their maiden east coast tour from Georgia to Delaware. While on the road for the first time, the band took the opportunity to begin writing their follow up album titled "Radio Waves," which was released on May 31, 2024. These 10 new songs really begin to identify who The Sugar Hollows are and the direction they are headed as they take the next step in their musical journey.
