ROOT2 MUSIC is the musical intersection of Deep South country blues and Celtic\/Appalachian fiddle music.\u00a0 David Frank (guitar, harmonica, vocals) and\u00a0Nancy Reid (fiddle, vocals) perform traditional and original blues with a\u00a0distinctive Appalachian flavor.<\/p>\n

When David moved up to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where the sounds\u00a0 of Nancy’s fiddle had echoed for years, this duo formed a musical partnership\u00a0that blends down home slide and traditional fiddle.\u00a0 Nancy has studied with\u00a0Celtic fiddlers Ben Lennon and Liz Carroll.\u00a0 David\u00a0early on started playing slide guitar because the strings were too hard to mash down on his old Kay guitar with the warped neck.\u00a0 What results is a unique blend of two\u00a0musical roots \u2013 Root2 Music.<\/p>\n
