Share Your Skills & Passion at Mountain Run Jam!
Share your skills, healing practices, or kids’ activities at our 12th annual celebration of agriculture, music, arts, and community! We’re seeking passionate presenters for our engaged, family-friendly audience on a beautiful regenerative farm. Our mission focuses on land-based skills, arts, local food, and fostering community/ecosystem support.
About Our Attendees:
- Attendees are diverse (beginner to experienced), valuing authenticity, hands-on learning, community, and sustainability.
- Most successful sessions cater to a general skill level.
- All sessions are 1 hour maximum.
Types of Proposals We’re Seeking:
Please review the categories below and indicate which fits your proposal best. We welcome unique ideas that align with the Jam’s spirit!
- Workshops: Hands-on skills (Regenerative Ag, Herbalism, Crafts, Food Preservation, Homesteading, Ancestral Skills, etc.). Hands-on format strongly preferred. (1 hr max)
- Healing Activities: Mind-body-spirit wellness (Outdoor Yoga/Tai Chi/Qi Gong, Meditation, Sound Healing, Nature Connection, etc.). Must suit festival setting. (1 hr max)
- Kids Activities: Engaging activities for children (~4-12) connecting them to nature, creativity, and Jam themes (Crafts, Farm Exploration, Stories, etc.). Experience with children required. (1 hr max, maybe shorter)
What We Offer Presenters:
- Compensation: $100 per Hour-long workshop
- Promotion: Listing on the official Mountain Run Jam website, schedule, and potential features on our social media channels.
- Community: An opportunity to connect with a passionate audience, network with fellow presenters, and enjoy the vibrant festival atmosphere.
- Setting: The chance to teach in a beautiful, inspiring natural farm environment.
- Camping: Free General Admission camping
- Teacher Hospitality: complimentary snacks and refreshments all weekend
Teaching Spaces (Assigned by MRJ Team):
- Covered Pavilions (Large & Small)
- Food Forest Area (Outdoor, Hands-on)
- Creekside Lawn (“Baptism Hole”)
- Private Pasture (“Tipi Yard” – Good for quiet activities)
- General Farmscape (Pastures, Woods, Streambanks – For walks/exploration)
Selection Process:
Proposals will be reviewed by the Mountain Run Jam team based on alignment with our mission, relevance to our audience, clarity of the proposal, presenter expertise, and focus on hands-on/interactive learning. We aim to create a diverse and balanced schedule. We will notify all applicants of their status in June.
