A hands on workshop describing and demonstrating the process for making, preparing and applying vermicompost extract (not tea!) to your soils. Many soils, from your backyard to your small farm to the pot on your balcony, are devoid of or severely lacking in microbiology. It is one thing to add the necessary chemicals it needs for plant growth via fertilizers. But there is a host of microbiology that have evolved for eons to mine nutrients from the soil, water and air...and quite frankly they are far better at it. This class will teach you how to make a very simple water based extract from a high quality compost, mix it with a few simple ingredients, and use it to re-inoculate your soils with the biology your plant roots need to sustain themselves and thrive.
